About Us

The Story of the Barber Gallery Started Long Before There was a Sign on the Door.

The Name

From early on, we knew we wanted to build a barbershop together. Not just any shop, though. We wanted something with intention-a space that felt modern, elevated, and different from the usual barbershop setup. A space where the work mattered, the details mattered, and everyone walking through the door felt like they were part of something.

That vision became The Barber Gallery.

The name comes from a simple idea we've always believed in: barbering is art. Every barber brings their own style, every client becomes part of the process, and every cut should feel considered, not rushed, not generic, and definitely not "good enough."

The beginning

We grew up more like brothers than friends. So when Mark decided he wanted to learn how to cut hair back in high school, Sora gave him the opportunity to practice on him-trusting that Mark would figure it out and believing in where the craft could take him.

Luckily, it worked out.

He got the reps he needed to sharpen his craft. What started with a pair of clippers, a little trust, and probably a few nerves eventually grew into something much bigger.

Here, the Art is Hair.

We built The Barber Gallery on years of trust, friendship, and a shared belief that a barbershop could be more than a place to get cleaned up. It could be a place for craftsmanship, conversation, community, and a little bit of swagger.
